Here it is December 4, the last week of instruction.
This has been an intense semester. Election events pressed hard on all of us, and the uncertainty of what lies ahead is causing no small amount of anxiety. So to close out the year, instead of courting dread, I am going to focus on the moments of JOY that remind me why I love my job.
... a stray black kitten was found on campus and brought into our center...He was subsequently named Oscar Wilde, and now resides at our house (!) Currently Weighing in 7 pounds and 4 ounces ( *up from his original 1 pound 5 ounces!!) , he keeps us on our toes with his daily bouts of " feral euphoria" aka the zoomies.
Our center entered its 21st year of service, and we are grateful for all the people who have worked so hard to support our students every single semester!
...the Halloween costumes tutors created this year were OUTSTANDING...
..the long awaited Reedley College McClarty Center for Fine and Performing Arts has opened! We have now had our first musical performances and it has been AWESOME. We are looking forward to all of the events lined up for Spring 2025, including our RC Literary Arts Speakers Series and the all school talent show, the RC Tiger Pageant.
We will be back for Spring Semester 2025, and in the meantime, we wish you all peace and and joy during this holiday season.
